Southwest General Hospital has provided high-quality healthcare for residents of southwest San Antonio for nearly 30 years and continues to be the only healthcare facility in this section of the city. Southwest General is a 327-bed facility staffed by experienced healthcare professionals. The hospital is committed to providing high-quality health services and an excellent patient experience. Southwest General has earned numerous distinctions for quality, including a HealthGrades 5-star rating for maternity care four years in a row.

    26-bed emergency department providing care for major emergencies and a fast-track clinic for minor cases

    Southwest General Hospital opened a state-of-the-art catheterization laboratory in 2008. It also performed its first open heart surgery in 2008.

    Offering radiation oncology and brachytherapy
     
  • Women’s Health
    The BirthPlace has earned a 5-star rating for maternity care from HealthGrades for four straight years and includes labor and delivery, postpartum care and a Level III neonatal intensive care unit
